Will be ok in the long run. Me and the kids are holding out well. Lucky we have family to lean on. Unfortunately this puts a hold on plans...

Re: Do I have to notify DIAC about wife passing on?

Thanks for the info Dorothy. I was wondering how it would be done if it was offshore, you cleared that up.

It was a hypothetical question, so I can't answer any of your questions :)

Re: State sponsorship moving to SMP

Thanks Bermudashorts for clearing that all up. We'll just wait then for the SMP to come out.

I find this all rather strange though, because what this essentially means is that their WA SS grant is...

Re: State sponsorship moving to SMP

It's not actually for myself, a friend of mine got WA SS (hairdresser) approval in June. As far as we are aware their agent then submitted the 176 at the time. Yesterday their agent contacted them...

State sponsorship moving to SMP

If SS from WA has already been received, does that mean the VISA will be processed, or do you have to wait to see if your occupation is on the SMP???

I'm really confused about this transitional...

Re: WA State Sponsorship/State Migration Plan

I hope this hasn't been asked & answered 100 times in this thread, but does anybody know what the approximate timeline is between getting SS approved from WA and receiving a CO?

Re: AusFis company - is it a scam or legitimate?

Personally, I would tell them to go get knotted. They're not even in the same country, they're going to have a tough time trying to claim payment from you.

I believe they have no leg to stand on...

Re: No more CSL by the end of the year??? (Possible good news for MODL applicants)

My guess is they're going to promote the ENS route, maybe by making it easier for employers to sponsor.

And to back up my guess, here is a quote from the 2nd MODL review paper:
"Sponsoring...

Re: No more CSL by the end of the year??? (Possible good news for MODL applicants)

That doesn't matter for those that have already applied. The MODL applies at the time of application and changes to the MODL don't affect those who have already applied.
