I'd still say end July for release of WA SMP, because under australia's federal system of government each state has considerable sovereignty over immigration and other issues.

Under the laws of australia state governments also have an input into the immigration policy. Each state elects its state government in a seperate election to the federal election. And these State Migration Plans are the state governments input.

The 'caretaker government' that you mention is the present gillard-led labour federal government - that is the federal government. It's called caretaker because a federal election was due to be held anyway at the end of this year, and the gillard government is only going to get a few months in power after Gillard was appointed PM until this election date (not a full term of 3 yrs). The federal election date was set today for august 21.

I hope 38141 is right. and in my guess, I don't think any due process would be pending for a reason of election. that's my bet.
the question is what would be the big change after the election! sighed.
Does any one has an idea of the changes for GSM next year january? thanks

All the processing has changed at 14th July, announced today. If yr on SOL you are now 3rd priority. If SMP you will get bumped up to 2nd! Things are looking up

I hope this hasn't been asked & answered 100 times in this thread, but does anybody know what the approximate timeline is between getting SS approved from WA and receiving a CO?

hi, all
has anyone got WA SSV recently? Is it true whether all pending applications will be processed by the end of July?
I lodged my application on May and expect the newest information.

No, there were no trades on the CSL, although we are on the new SOL, so have been bumped up to priority 3
