Re: Which bank is best and fee free?

This is one of my main bugbears about Australia. I never paid a penny in bank fees before coming over here and watching the dollars leak out of my account every month for having the gall to set foot...

Re: Emirates or Cathay Pacific?

Cathay Pacific every time for me. Also Hong Kong airport is a far more pleasant transitting experience than Dubai in my experience.

Re: Our Cost of Living in Melbourne

Crikey! I know I've been away for a while but I've never heard of BT referred to as 'good old' before.

For a comparison we pay $30 per month for ADSL2 broadband and total landline phone costs...

Re: ** Perth vs Melbourne - your views, please **

When we lived in Perth the whole place seemed to close down at 5pm on Saturday afternoons and not reopen again until Monday. Coming from Melbourne we found this hard to accept and, one Sunday early...

Re: Perth to London or Birmingham - Prices.

We flew back to London with Malaysian with our then three month old and they were fine. More space than Emirates too. Personally I'd rate Singapore the best, then Cathay Pacific though I've heard...
