"Apart from traditional oud music, there is generally no music played during Ramadan, with nightclubs, on the whole, closed and no musical entertainment in pubs and bars, although they do remain open and serve alcohol after 7pm."

I've been going out at 8pm...have I missed out on an hours boozing??

*whiny hipster voice* Nope 7pm is, like so 2 years ago...

The pubs might serve a bit before 8pm but will be sure to be after 7:14pm sunset... they will all say 8pm if you ask them.

Slight oversight from my perspective there.

Rents are stupid again.

I've moved 15ish floors lower in the same block, different view (Khalifa not the sea) and it's 30k a year more. 65k -> 95k now.

thought you had sorted all that malarkey out and were staying put? he was offered to share a flat with a mate but he turned it down, doesn't trust himself and would be broke all the time.

Fair enough, probably a smart move.

Not sorted, he wants to move family in, giving me two months back and we're moving after holiday.

Bit of a pain but managed to force the mrs to take housing allowance so my actual costs have halved!

Indeed. Used my savings to pay the extra so I'm rent free for another 12 months (obviously going to save the rent amount every month, but that's going to start growing my savings very nicely )

Definitely.

I'd invite him for a beer but I'm terrible at small talk and haven't even met you yet.

no worries he has got a few pals but one in particular seems to lead him astray, I think he might have learnt a lesson today though, he was very disappointed in himself. We have all been there before though :)

Hahahahahahahahhaha

Ramadan in my first year was mega, no mrs, couple of single lads in the office, shorter hours and some epic nights out.
