After the last week and a bit I've had it would be great if you could provide the following:

Ice cold Heineken and some spicy, but not silly spicy, chicken wings...a good serving too, probably 10-15.

Suggested pastime for the evening: go and watch Skyfall again.

Trust me, you've got that one wrong - it is a superbly told story, and completes the circle (so to speak) in bringing Bond's history, including the rarely mentioned family history, right up to date, introducing Q and Moneypenny, etc. It's also realistic and understated (no silly laser beams cutting his cock off, just a simple radio beacon to call for help, etc). I almost felt it was a conscious attempt NOT to go OTT with special effects (they are everywhere these days), and instead to concentrate on simply telling the story.

I agree with you about Quantum of Solace though...........

Hmm. Not sure.

You can take it that way with barrels loads of nostalgia, or you can take it as a really poorly put together storyline with glaring holes and stupidity of decisions made by the characters to compete with stupid special effects etc...

I'm terrible on my own, in any situation.

I can go home at the moment and watch shite on tv, end up sat in the dark three hours later, starving, bored, restless and end up just going to bed.

It's ****ing depressing when you think about it!

Trying to keep busy this week with golf though

It's definitely helped to have the Ashes, The Open and Tour de France to watch but now two are finished and the next test doesn't start until I'm on holiday in Thailand....she won't be impressed if I try to watch that all night!

Try 'The Returned' and 'The Bridge' - good viewing.

And Luthers back.

You're beyond redemption.......... which reminds me:

The Shawshank Redemption. One of the all-time greats.
