Because there are lots of them? I think many assume a white person is British when they could quite easily be any number of nationalities.
Russians are the most offensive, racist backwards arseholes I've had to deal with, and I had the misfortune to work amongst the corrupt grasping shits. |

Naah! Stripey red and white individuals are British or Russian. The only difference is that the Russians are pig ignorant twunts, who prove that JFK probably had the right idea, right up to until he collected it in the noggin.

Thought they owned the place and were certainly racist. Some of the new ones believe that the ME is the new colonial life and their job is to educate the unfortunate into the ways of the west. It ain't gonna change any time soon My daughter was pretty much brought up here and had an amazing life before she sought her career in London, but many times when she was pulled up for whatever in a mall or a club, it was normally the girls from a cedar flag or a crescent that were the most lairy and caused the issue. |

OLE, whilst I don't wish to question what you have said, I can't help thinking your description actually applies to a select few of the Brits I have met in Dubai over the last 15 years.

The traditional , warrant-officer class expats are truely appalling, but happilly they are getting time expired. Unfortunately, they are being replaced by dense Essex motor mouths, with the gift of the gab, but absolutely no respect for the locals or any traces of tradition. They are the Unmentionables who like FJ Cruisers, and whom you wouldn't lend your pen to, let alone your investment!

Lol. We justemployed a darker skinned newly qualified lawyer who is third gen Manchester (actually a very nice girl who is clearly exceptionally intelligent). She proudly walked into the office this week to announce the purchase of her new FJ. You can't dream this stuff up. Lol.

(I had two...) Sorry guys gotta go, the TOWIE cameras are here. :ashamed: P. s. thankfully Mrs Shed now loves her German quality box and has probably forgotten the days when she had to chase rascals like me ;-). |

It just isn't that hard to cover up a little so as to keep people happy. Such a minor thing really. I popped in Aswaaq at about 7pm tonight and there was a woman in there in a short strapless dress.
Is it ignorance or obstinance? |

It's a supermarket chain with seven stores that has been in Dubai for a few years now. Good value too. |
