There's no one outside here at the moment. I can't hear the sound of cars driving by, or construction workers in action.

So the bars don't open until 8pm or so tonight (Wednesday) is that right?

Confused again here.

And just to add a cynical bit, Ramadan being called on a Wednesday means that Eid will occur over a weekend. Again!

Quelle surprise.

I mean, if you moan and say it's illegal, you just look like a slacker....

Of course you have the right to be miffed that your employer is arrogantly breaking the law.

Can anyone confirm that there is definitely no booze served before 7.30pm so its unlikely to be worth watching The Ashes in any sports bar?

Confirmed. Same as always, just a later than usual start time this year.

Surely you should know this?

For mental one

The bar will most likely be open - Goodfellas is for example, they just aren't serving alcohol - you can have a pork pie and a coke though....

It used to be in Jebal Ali port - seaman's mission there, I know it wasn't open a couple of years back, no idea whether it is now.

Stella in big Coca Cola paper cups, and a big sign saying "No alcohol served until 6.30" on a blackboard.

And everyone in the place pissed as newts!

And post it on a public form so the venue gets into trouble?
