Thanks Guys, feels very good to be back, can't believe how green every where looks and I'd forgotten how pretty it is where my Mum lives in summer time. Am off to the primary school today to try and register the kids, was told there was only one place left in primary 3 for my youngest so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it is still there :fingerscrossed:
May pop into M&S while I'm there as it;s just around the corner :p

Did the schol year already finish where you were living? Maybe you won't need to start them till september, and have them all in the one school

Just take each day as it comes and stay positive.....it's normal even though your home it's still a big move and still takes time to adjust, I treated it as though it was somewhere new (after spending quite a few years away in some ways it was new) and formed my own opinions from my own experiences. Good luck enjoy and try to look forward not backwards...

I seem to have stumbled into the opposite of what I am seeking.
do we have a thread for just about to arrive somewhere new as an ex pat,as opposed to going back to blighty?

There is a forum for each country, Australia, Canada, USA, Europe etc.........just look up the top of this page and you will see Forum/Living and Moving Abroad/ Moving Back to the UK....this is the bit you don't want LOL!! Click on Living and Moving Abroad and you will find your proper bit to be in for you (but not me!!). :thumbsup:

Me and my wee boy will be flying on Continental CO26 to Birmingham, departing 7.05pm on August 23rd...I can't believe it's less than a week away! Having a hell of a time fitting our lives into 3 suitcases!
