Squirrel's right you can. Apparently you are taxed at a higher rate until such time as you provide it - that info came direct from their office. Shazban - I've pm'd you a phone # |

Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
I'll be on Air New Zealand from LAX to London tomorrow after 10 long years and 2 kids to move in with my sister (in her 1 bed flat). DH is staying behind to sort out our apartment. Once he comes over we'll rent somewhere and start looking for jobs.
My daughter will start school on Wednesday and I need to get a nursery place for my son. Am totally stressed and feel sick to my stomach but still think we are doing the right thing. My in-laws are totally against it and think we are stupid. Good luck to everyone else going through this torture, I wish I had never left all those years ago! |

Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
Thanks Quoll.
I feel so sick and anxious, please let this move turn out to be the right move for us. I will try to update once I'm back. Thanks to everyone for holding my hand lately. |
Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
Aw good luck.. you will be fine, just keep an open mind and what ever you do please give it time.... at least 6 months.
Quoll are you home for a visit!? |
Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
Thanks, in my head I'm going to give us year. I know there'll be bad days, moving into my sister's one with 2 kids is not going to be easy but as soon as DH arrives we will rent somewhere and start job hunting.
Good luck to all who are on this journey!! |

Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
Hello there,
Well we made back safe and sound, had a great flight and the service was good. I paid an extra $100 to get our 3 seats to turn into a bed thing ( forgotten what's it called & am posting from my phone) was well worth it. It's good to be home but it's very hard being away from DH and not having a place of our own. My DD starts first grade tomorrow & I've been busy running around trying to get her uniform together. Am suffereing badly with jet lag, next thing is to contact the recruitment agents overall, I'm happy to be back, but certain family dynamics have already come in play. I guess the curse of the expat is alive and well but England is still beautiful and vibrant. I'll keep updating as I continue my journey! |

Another one leaving Ontario after three years, I fly tomorrow on the 9th from Toronto, flight WG200 with Sunwing 9.05pm, so many mixed emotions not least because of a marriage break-up.
Happy to be flying home though... |
Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!

Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
CarolPat....What airline are you using. Would love to know how the cats do how are you getting home once you arrive at the airport.
|
Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
I'm flying on Delta. I'm using a pet shipper for the cats. I'll report back on the whole process once we are all safely installed at my mother's.

I think I have missed some messages. Great news about Mr Q!I am sitting in the Qantas lounge in Sydney waiting to leave on QF 32. It is a very strange feeling and I'm having difficulty with my mixed emotions. Everything should settle once we are on the flight. best wishes to everyone embarking on their 'adventures' this week.

Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
I'm flying out to Manchester airport today. Sat in the departure lounge right now. It seems like such a long build up to this day and now it's finally here!
I'm moving from Florida after 8 years here, the last two have been particularly bad for me here. I'm returning as a divorcee , that seems so strange right now. I'm looking forward to having parents meet me at Manchester. Def looking forward to Christmas in UK and better job prospects. I'll return to post updates soon! |

Good luck Alicat26. I hope all goes well for you in the UK.
And you`re going back to Yorkshire! Yay! |
Re: The 'Bon Voyage' Thread! - Flight Tracker!
Thanks everyone!
It's really good to be back. I feel Christmassy now, I never did in Florida cos the scenery never changed, lol. I have been applying for jobs online all day today, I'm willing to go where the work is. Although I expect there may be a delay in responses due to the Christmas and new year period. |
