Gee, Polly must've wasted a bit of time polishing up the broomstick, they were late leaving the gate! Faster, Faster!

Well looks like the broomstick has made up time just about to cross the coast in a neck and neck race with BA16 to see who crosses first. I do love stalking! Thank goodness for free apps on your iphone!

Flight radar 24 for iphone. I watch it http://www.flightradar24.com/ here too when at home.

Must say it is much more fun when you "know" someone who is on it and can sort of cheer them home. BA 16 won to get across the coast btw but I am sure I could hear Polly cheer as she cruised over Burnham on Crouch!

Thanks, Quoll! I must see if there is a version for Android - or something very similar. It would be fun to have it to "monitor" those on their way to the UK :)

Woo hoo!!! They do indeed have an Android version :) :)

The video-viewing-film thing was playing up apparently. I said I didn't care as I don't watch it, but they can't fly without it being fixed so we were an hour late boarding.

I've been home for a week now in beautiful sunny Lancashire and in spite of the mixed emotions (having left my Canadian husband behind .... long story) I am confident I have done the right thing. Waking up and that constant heartache has gone, seeing my mum's face and hearing my nieces squeals of delight as I shocked and suprised them over the Easter weekend, cooking easter lunch with my mum and spending hours of quality one on one time with my daughter is fantastic - I am blessed - life is too short to miss out on these moments and it had been way too long. Thanks for all your support - I wish all of you waiting on the other side wanting a speedy return.

Last day in Oz, settled on the house last week and transferred all the proceeds to the UK today. I got an email last night confirming the kids have been accepted for the school we chose. On 20th May we move into the house I bought a few weeks ago.:)
Fly out from Perth on EK 421 and then onto EK 027 from Dubai to Glasgow.

Just caught up with you there!! So you're back in good old Scotland. I'm glad you sound so happy and that everyone was pleased with the house. You sound really excited, I'm just interested in how it actually feels to be back?? Does it feel as if you've come "home". I wish you all the best in your new life back in Scotland, brave decision and one that obviously has been the right one for you and your family.

Just out of interest, and you've probably posted this already, I can't remember, where did you decide to stay?? Feeling ever so slightly homesick typing this for some reason. Oh well, just need to wait and see if my future lies here in the US or back home in sunny Glasgow - sending you good wishes!!

We've moved back to Helensburgh, 25 miles or so west of Glasgow. It still feels like we are on holiday despite going on a spending spree for new furniture. I think we will realise we are here to stay once we move into the new house.

We move in next Friday, pick up the keys at 10.30 if it goes to plan. I paid for the house and the stamp duty last Friday, yes it was sad to see that money vanish from my bank account.

Only one more week and then you can say you are well and truly "home"!!! How wonderful!

Even though you had to part with all that "dough", you have bought your very own piece of UK turf and it belongs to you now :))
