You are required to have a minimum uncorrected visual acuity of 6/30 in each eye. Outside this range, an assessment of your circumstances will be conducted on a case-by-case basis.
This comes up for the lets join forces page however it appears to be offline at the moment and cant provide a link to it.

You are required to have a minimum uncorrected visual acuity of 6/30 in each eye. Outside this range, an assessment of your circumstances will be conducted on a case-by-case basis. However, as a minimum, you must be able to meet the corrected visual acuity standard of 6/6 binocularly or 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other when wearing soft contact lenses.
A report from a qualified person will be required detailing your vision history, current treatment and future prognosis. This must include your history of duration of wear and tolerance of soft contact lenses over a 10 hour period and expected future tolerance to wearing soft contact lenses on an ongoing basis. The WA Police Force will send you a form that you need for this report.

thanks, I should’ve been a bit more specific I think haha, I already knew what the requirements are I just wondered if anyone knew how strict they are on them and what happens if one eye doesn’t meet the requirement or if they will want further tests done etc
From what I’ve seen on Queensland and Victoria police website, they say if one eye doesn’t meet the requirement you’ll need to complete further tests, just trying to find out some more info for my partner as he’s the one applying, thanks again though

Hi all,
Being someone who has recently put their application in this thread has been extremely helpful and I really appreciate the honesty of those currently working in the roll.
I have made it through to the interview panel stage and was wondering if there were any hints/ tips that people could put forward in preparing for it.
TIA

Re: WA Police International Transition recruitment
Morning everyone.
Had my interview 4 weeks ago and had an email this morning saying that I have completed the initial stages and they now need me to do police clearance, driving license history and a psychological assessment in a few weeks.
I am confused because it doesn't actually say I've passed? And I thought that we did the medical/vision requirements before doing any of the clearance/driving history and psychological assessment?
Hope that makes sense

Can I ask those who have passed, what was the email address you received your news from?
I am now just under 9 weeks since my interview and not heard anaything, or at least from the previous email address used to contact me.
