Dear All, I got an offer from consultant (AECOM) and just wanted to know some more details. How's work environment being as consultant, pay scale, accommodation in NEOM if someone hired by AECOM, can comment on this please.
Other things to all who moved from UAE to NEOM, how we can move the car and household items, please share some experience.

I got a verbal offer 2 weeks ago from NEOM and promised to get the written official offer soon but since then nothing happened. Do they take that long to send an official offer ?
How long does it take to get official offer ?
I start getting wearied/ Any advice?

Good day all,

I just wanted to get an understanding of who the main recruitment firms are that recruit for NEOM.

I have also been applying on line direct through the NEOM site and have been asked to do a few interviews, however I have not heard back from the recruiters since sending my available dates. Is anyone able to provide insights on this? Is this normal practice or is there a hiring freeze, or is it me

I think it will depend on what you do. My husband has been approached by at least 5 or 6 different recruiters/head hunters, but they're all energy recruiters as that's the industry he works in so may not be relevant to you. So if you can let people know what kind of job you're looking for people may be able to help, although the best thing to do is just to get yourself on LinkedIn and mark yourself as open to work overseas, that's how they seem to be approaching most people.

The grades are as follows:

Entry level - 1-2
Specialist/Lead/Analyst - 3-5
Manager - 6-7
Senior manager - 8
Director - 9
Executive director - 10-11
C-Suite - 12

Salary bands are as Pkingston mentioned, those can only be known anecdotally as there are no explicitly communicated bands. One thing to remember is that all things can change, regardless of confirmed or not. people in the early days (until 2020) were given hardship allowance on top of all other allowances for example, but that was taken away. But then the HQ move from Riyadh to NEOM paved way for free accommodation, so it can both be good and bad. Those are minimum salaries. Perhaps there are grade 7s with less than 60, but unlikely. Mind you, some are on ridiculous salaries regardless of grade. Early joiners in key positions for example.. So you always have to measure your salary to your own expectations and your alternatives. You’ll go mad if you start comparing yourself to others, and end up unhappy and frustrated.

Someone mentioned this already, but you can figure out the grade the position is going to be for by looking at the title. And compare that to the grades given above, and you get a sense of roughly expected salary.

So, I applied for senior manager position grade 8, but my last salary (in Denmark) is about 19k SAR. Does it mean I should expect 25% increase = 23.750 SAR?
or, I will have a salary equivalent to senior manager position!

Re. comparing yourself with your colleagues, definitely if this is the case, it will make me unhappy to receive less salary for the same job.

Im not 100% sure, but I think you would be given the job title at the level of the 23750 SAR e.g. specialist or lead. However, you would be doing the role of the senior manager, just without the title.

I applied for senior manager role as well and was selected but being offered 25% over my current salary that comes to Grade 6 but will be carrying out senior manager role .
