The green one (mint?) was the only one without lumps for some reason.

How about Doughnuts at school? No jam in the middle but there was a jug of sauce to put on them....why not in the middle?

She didn't get my bonus bottle for doing so well in the spelling test.

Did anyone go to a school where dinners were served in dishes for each table...and there always seemed to be one person on each table who'd help himself/herself to more than their fair share of the chips or roast spuds?

We had ours dished out by a big woman in white, she always looked mean....so kids don't hang around to ask for more

I did but that was in the days before chips were invented.

To this day, I cannot bear even being in the same room as custard, tapioca, semolina, rice pudding or beetroot.
