We used to live next to Charlie Cook (another footballer of the George Best era) and then GB's ex wife was in the same class as my best mate.

BMy best mates dad was a producer on Radio One so we used to go to some cracking parties when we were 5 or 6 - ABBA, Paul Gambacinni, John Peel etc. . wandering around etc . . went straight over my head - I was just after the chocolate cake!

Thick navy blue knickers with a pocket for your hankie.
School milk in little bottles, sour in summer and frozen in winter. Taking a penny to school for the starving babies in Africa. Writing on a slate at my first school. Pens with a nib and wooden shaft. Ink wells, blotting paper..
