Something that popped up on my newsfeed. Dodge truck drivers are the worst of the bunch around here.

WHAT the HELL was this guy thinking?!!!

I didn't mean you, I meant the Nissan SUV. That vehicle seems to scream "upper middle-class mom in Newmarket shepherding her 2.3 kids to hockey and dance practice".

You might be more familiar with the term Soccer Mom.

Canadianized it would naturally translate to Hockey Mom.

Pretty much sums up my wife's sister and her Nissan SUV. Minus the hocket part but lots of dance and acting practice.

No one in a footballing nation would refer to a "Soccer Mom". Perhaps you have "Yummy Mummy" in mind.

Yes, Ive lived here since 2009 and come across a reasonable number of people day to day in my trade, do you know what? I think I may just have vaguely heard of that expression before...

They wouldn't use it themselves, but they might have heard it, considering the term pops up in US popular culture all the time.

I should have specified that it's a US term, not British.

That car looks so damn good it's almost worth learning how to drive.

None of the daily eight are any good for me, my first requirement was ability to carry a 6 1/2' rod holdall and a lot of other gear and no suv's and few trucks fit the bill, (also your stuff gets wet in a truck and if you have a topper the windows get broken), but larger minivans did and years later I'm on my second Windstar. It's got a 3.8L and a big hitch, lots of power to pull a boat. [maybe not a yacht or a cabin cruiser, but a boat, yes]
