Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Today I can savour the early cup exit of the reed-and-white stripey buggars. Tomorrow I will no doubt be mourning a similar fate for the bastard offspring of Wor Jackie Milburn at the hands of the proud sons of Sir Stanley Matthews.
Fingers crossed anyway. |

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
At least we don't have to worry about the 'Scouse Mouse' throwing himself around the pitch!!! He'll be too busy getting massages and therapy at Britains Best Spa, Oh and his £40Grand a week (all that and he gets to beat up 16 year olds!! - wot a tuff guy!!):frown:
The one good thing to come out of wednesday night was that Jimmy played on the right(his position) and Duff on the left (his position) - together with Shay in goal that was three players in there chosen positions!!!(Whatever next?) |

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Duff, up until that point, had by a mile been our best player on th pitch and looked like the only one that might create a goal!!
Even Jimmy (who so far has been my player of the season) had been having a stinker, I think he must have been struggling to come to terms with playing in his position. Yes, i think BSA's chosen substitution had about 50,000 fans scratching their heads!! With a bit luck we will now see the back of Martins who seems destined for Sven's revolution at Eastlands. |

:thumbdown:Absolutely disgusting!!!!
Yes we know BSA has played peeps out of position and everyone else has just got on with it and tried to do their best - however Mr.M seems to think he is above it and 'petulant' is an understatement!!:frown: I don't think i have ever seen seen a toon player look so un-interested - even on wednesday night, when he was given his big chance to show us his stuff up front. |

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
BTW, I was just checking the squad membership at nufc.com and I don't see that Spanish wanker Albert "Lucky" Luque on the list. Was someone daft enough to pay a couple of dollars for the cretin? (It was your "most uninterested player" comment that reminded me of that 9.5 million pound cock-up).

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
you certainly are, and i would love dearly to side with you ( and i suppose deep inside i do!!) but i, along with so many others, am sick to death of the 'well it's not working so sack the manager' attitude we have had for too many years at SJP.
Where would Old Trafford be if they had taken the same stance after Fergie's dismal start? I know that the people who sit in my vacinity on match days have a similar opinion. Yes it's difficult at the mo, but unless they can attract the likes of Jose and give him an open cheque book to spend at will, who else is there??? |
Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
The luckyest luque in the world went, i think, to Holland (Feyenoord)

Edit/Delete Message i would love dearly to side with you ( and i suppose deep inside i do!!) but i, along with so many others, am sick to death of the 'well it's not working so sack the manager' attitude we have had for too many years at SJP. Where would Old Trafford be if they had taken the same stance after Fergie's dismal start? Since then only KK and Sor Bibby have been anything other than incompetent dross. Do you think it's better to blow 9.5 million ( minus an undisclosed fee from Ajax, probably tuppence) on Luque or to spend that over a couple of years on a decent manager? (My ticket in the old stand was seat 3E, just level with the six yard box at the Leazes End and three rows above the Paddock). |
Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread

How about Jose, or Gus Hiddink or Juergen Klopp? |
