i worry now for utd, dismal display against a super munich, who out fought, out played and out tried us all game. some of their individual play was fantastic and at times i did not think we were going to come away at 4-1 let alone 2-1, then rooney goes off with a twisted ankle apparently. wonderful. i can see chelsea on sat being a nightmare, then going out to munich next week.
fingers crossed but berbatov and carrick need to show a bit of aggression and commitment.

nani had an ok game, and certainly has improved dramatically of late. park i am still not convinced about, but everytime i express my concern he seems to score lately so what do i know.
hoepfully he will start with valencia next game, he deserves a proper run out.

Did you see what happened to Rooney at the end? I saw him getting carried off with only one shoe on but I didn't see what happened

not on setanta no, but then i flicked to TSN for the highlights of lyon and they gave a quick update at the end saying he twisted his ankle. must have gone over on it right at the end.

i know, i have a feeling knowing fergies priorities that he will rest him if in any doubt so he is fit for the return leg. which means berbatov starts on his own up front. which means chelsea win.

Probably not that simple. I expect Berbatov will play his only decent game of the season and you end up winning.

And :fingerscrossed: that is the last injury before and including the WC. Without Rooney Englands chances are severely limited.

Yes England's slim chance is fast diminishing.

I always thought England had a solid defence to fall on but with the Terry- Bridge affair I have lost confidence. I knew Terry was a nob- but losing Wayne Bridge leaves us even more exposed at a weak position.

Gerrard has not been playing well. I hope the term "Class is permanent and form is temporary" is true- because England need him.

I also really hope Aaron Lennon makes the World Cup. A fully fit Aaron Lennon can give problems too any left back in the world.

And fingers are definately crossed for Rooney. He has been magnificent at Manchester United this season.
