I was disappointed for Owen:(

Not a classic game - but a great win!

First of 3 trophies this year!:thumbup::thumbup:

Evra couldn't even wait to kiss the trophy before he hoisted it! LOL

yeah, that was too bad about Owen. Can anybody remind me what Rat Face brings to the team to make him the captain....he has got to be the only captain in the Premier League who does not start important games when available.

Continuity, loyalty, memories of past glory, been there done that attitude.

He does manage to spoil that picture when he gets all bitter and twisted though.

Exactly on the latter point...his vitroilic hatred of LFC is tiresome very quickly and his toady like reverence for SAF is far too sycophantic.

Toon 1- 0 Forest!

13 points clear of 3rd, with a game in hand and only six/seven games to play.

Not even the Toon can blow this now.

We're baaaaaackkkk!!!!!!

It's a shame Liverpool are going to miss out on the Champion's League (and possibly any European football at all) next season though. :p

Here are their PL fixtures for the rest of the season compared to their rivals for CL/Europa Cup places. Aston Villa and Everton appear to have the easiest run-in's, and Spurs seem to have the hardest as they have to play Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd before the end of the season, though Man City also have to play two of these teams as well.

Tottenham
April
3 Sunderland (A)
10 Arsenal (H)
17 Chelsea (H)
24 Man Utd (A)

May
1 Bolton (H)
9 Burnley (A)

Man City
April
3 Burnley (A)
10 Birmingham (H)
17 Man Utd (H)
24 Arsenal (A)

May
1 Aston Villa (H)
9 West Ham (A)

Liverpool
April
3 Birmingham (A)
10 Fulham (H)
17 West Ham (H)
24 Burnley (A)

May
1 Chelsea (H)
9 Hull (A)

Aston Villa
April
3 Bolton (A)
10 Everton (H)
17 Portsmouth (A)
24 Birmingham (H)

May
1 Man City (A)
9 Blackburn (H)

Everton
April
3 West Ham (H)
10 Aston Villa (A)
17 Blackburn (A)
24 Fulham (H)

May
1 Stoke (A)
9 Portsmouth (H)

The most exciting Premiership run in for a long time. 3 teams playing for the title and 4 teams playing for 4th spot.

Curious to know why you included Everton's fixtures?

I hope Liverpool don't get 4th but it does look like they have the easiest run in.

Come on you Spurs!!!

I included Everton because It's still mathematically possible for them to qualify for the Europa League. Highly unlikely unless at least two teams above them lose all of their remaining games, but still possible.

Fair enough.

I will always wonder what David Moyes would have achieved if he had been given a decent transfer budget.
