Things that make you feel old

Well, I would happily take the discount, but still it's a bit of a poke in the eye at 50.

I found that out recently. Well they don't disappear, they fall off. I'm thinking nail clippers would do the job.
Just one?lucky. There's a woman at the supermarket who has an impressive chinfull of long hairs. At first I wondered why she didn't remove them but now I admire her " this is what I am " approach.

Wow, Steve - that must have been seriously tough news to hear. Here's hoping that you can cope with the slowing-down thing and keep on keeping on for a good few years yet.

Learning that my first friend and longest friend in Canada died at 5am this morning. He was 6 months older than me. He’d been through a most difficult time medically in the past 2 years, so I’m thankful his considerable suffering is over.

We’re off to see the cardiologist this morning and hoping he has more info for us and more of a plan as to where we go from here.
Cheers

The picture quality on these clips is just like on the photos I used to collect from the daily express back then.

Good news it is NOT heart failure.
Bad news is he is not sure what the issue is, and he’s running out of things it could be.

As a result I’ll be going back to see the pulmonologist to have my lungs checked out again. I’ll also be having another echocardiogram (last one was about two years ago). Thirdly, he wants to do a right-side catheterization. They put a catheter into the right side of the heart and check pressures. He also mentioned it would be a fluid challenged one. For that they pump saline solution into the right chamber and measure the pressures on both side of the heart. He is also a little concerned about the possibility of pericarditis or stiffening of the sac around the heart. If it is Pericarditis it's a problem because the surgeons would be extremely reluctant to try to remove the Pericardial sac because of all the scarring from the two previous bypass surgeries.
