Didn't feel old to me until last August. That's when everything went to hell in a handbasket, first time in my life I felt old.
I was 15, turned 16 the next month left for Canada a month after that.

A elderly couple were on the couch contemplating their youth.
Wife says "Remember when your mum would give you a dollar to go for groceries and you'd come back with 6 eggs, a loaf of bread and a bag of potatoes...you cannot do that these days!"
Husband says "Damn right...too many security cameras!"

My wife, a very youthful looking and acting 55 year old (I'm 53) was at Shoppers Drug Mart yesterday when it was 20% off for all seniors. She asked what the minimum age was for the seniors discount and was told 50. Yikes, that does make me feel old although I'm the oldest guy on my 'old timers' football team (must be over 35).

As you get older it's how the herd thins out that brings it home. Almost all the people in my stories are dead. I don't imagine it gets any better as I go on.
Mind you, my friends haven't all been among the most insurable, but still.....
