And Moncton is one of the so called affordable city's.
You should see how high prices can jump in places like BC and ON.
There was a time in Vancouver where flippers would buy a house, and by the time the sale closed prices went up enough to flip it back onto the market and make a profit without doing any work on the house and turn a tidy profit.
These kinds of jumps in prices is one of the reasons its hard to buy. By the time people have built a down payment the prices have risen and locked them out of the market.

If all goes to schedule, in 6 years Vancouver should have a new hospital, construction apparently started today on the new St. Paul's, when completed the current St. Paul's will close.
