Best fireworks I ever saw were when I lived in Hong Kong back in the 70's and 80's - they used to be designed around pieces of music and timed to perfection - you could watch them from the water, which I was fortunate enough to experience one year on a junk, or from the waterfront or at home on tv.. the music was also on the radio so that everyone could hear and appreciate the impeccable timing. Happy memories

The last ten minutes were reserved for the Swiss; this is how to do it properly.
My roof top terrasse actually faced away from the lake, but a short ladder gave us access to the flat roof, so with the addition of a few picnic chairs and tables, we were sorted. Loudspeakers outside, volume cranked up on the synced radio broadcast. Happy memories indeed.
Back in the day my office was downtown Geneva, and one of the funnier evenings was 31/12/1999 as our management lot were awfully scared about this potential millenium bug thingy: we put the hit squad together and moved in for our 12 hour shift at 20:00, set up all the monitors, let one poor guy take the short straw to sit downstairs whilst the rest of of us repaired to the rooftop terrasse, suitably armed with champagne to watch the fireworks close up.
All done, back downstairs, oh look, the caterers turned up whilst we were out. Any calls? Nope. Cool, veritable feast ensued. I think we took about four calls overnight in total, and started sending people home as of 05:00. I left at 08:00, awoke about 14:00 feeling like crap, but got down to the office to find just about no-one else... they all called in sick with food poisoning.

I have always liked Disney's New Years Eve fireworks, although the California park, but California had to cancel theirs due to high winds, but WDW in Florida did a good job.

One thing I have noticed on the online mental health groups is those who have access to therapy seem to not really understand those who don't have access, some common thinking seems to be if they can access therapy then everyone can.

If I had been born with a normal brain, I may have had a chance at life, but the learning disability alone sealed my fate by not being good enough in school to go onto college which would have opened doors to higher paying jobs, it seems impossible to get a good paying job today without college.
