We're trying to train him to use the stairs. He's getting a bit big for Souvette to carry and I don't have the strength these days to carry anything.

Not sure.I'm always tired and lethargic, have no strength whatsoever, get dizzy and uncoordinated, and my mood is a bit iffy. My SIL (a nurse) reckoned it could be anemia. I did some research an vitamin B12 deficiency came up. I've got pretty much all of the symptoms. I've just started taking industrial doses of B12. We'll see if that does anything.

I'm a very big fan of greyhounds too! But it was only Canada that awakened me to these Doodles and Poos. My Brother-in-law told me he had a Cocker Poo some years back and I assumed it was a medical problem...it turned out to be delightful! I never saw them before. I looked it up a while back and it seems that the poodle gene is very trainable and this gives them their calm and very pleasant temperament. I like the different sizes and sorts of dog this produces...I am probably wrong, but it also encourages me to believe that it goes against the in-built problems that the Cruft type process engenders?
We need photos please Souvy!
p.s. I'm sorry I posted twice...this website thing makes me keep pecking like a manic hen...and Still nothing happens!
One thing I absolutely hate is that breeders here like to chop their tails - doc them, which is just so unnecessary. Abbey's tail was docked far too short resulting in issues. Other problems they can have are hip issues.
One of the biggest pain in the bum things about them is the double coat, which depending on the 'type', mattes very easily, right down to the skin, once it gets past a certain length - it can literally go like wool if you don't catch it early enough and results in having to cut the fur ultra short (and shaving them makes it worse in the long term). Lovely dogs though and would be my first choice every time. Calm, loving and loyal.. both of mine have been devoted, never leaving my side.

I had something similar last week, got dizzy, fell over, had to attend a series of meetings with people from out of town with a fat lip and carpet burns all up my face. A number of ribald remarks about rug burns ensued. Went to the doctor on the weekend and had an EKG, a cat scan, blood work, a heart monitoring session the whole business. Best to get it all done before Doug Ford abolishes hospitals.

They seem to be the bounciest and cheerful of dogs. I hope you're getting over it PP..it's a real bastard...but time will make it slightly better and then you'll
fall in love with another four legged friend again...eventually and in your own time....

I've been saying no more dogs for a while, OH wants an old English Sheepdog but I think they would be too rambunctious after having chows.

We have still got Daisy, so we're not completely berift, we have been amazed at how quiet she is though. She is being spoiled. I picked up Henry's ashes on Friday and have a urn on order. Didn't want to bury him as we're not staying here.

Someone mentioned hypotension. I don't think it is that. I am more likely to have hypertension. I develop it when you put me in front of a white coat. That was proved at an insurance medical several years ago. The blood pressure test was the first thing to be done. It was off the scale. The doctor had the patience to keep taking the readings throughout the medical, as I became more relaxed. They went down and down and eventually hit textbook normal.

Hope the results are good ones - well done for at least going and getting them done!

Funny you mention that. I was outside with the got one morning a couple of weeks ago. I sat on a low wall next to a flower bed. When I went to stand up, I simply flopped backwards into the flower bed. It took me five attempts to pull myself upright.

They have a nifty machine now that takes your blood pressure 3-6 times and they average it out.

Not so! I refer you here: Health question #2 of 2 - hypotension.
Also I had a full scan last Monday - they cheated, I thought that it was just going to be an MRI, it was full on, including drinking a litre of yak piss, intravenous flaming liquid and the obligatory dose of liquid where the sun doesn't shine.
Result...clean.
One more appointment with a gastro-specialist in two weeks time, but doc reckons that to be just a formality.
