Why in the UK/on the bbc have they gone with ‘taking the knee’? I’ve only heard ‘taking a knee’ here, or on US news. Just me?
(of course I have never seen GOT) |

We delivered to a building today. 24 floors and only 1 elevator and COVID limit 1 person at a time. Took over 20 minutes to go up and back down.
What a silly design for a 24 floor building and its a new building so not even old. |

My new Shark vacuum cleaner is da-bomb.
Better look out I don't lose the cat and MrBEVS better take care not to irritate, he might find suction marks on his bald pate. I know I sound like a saddo but I've been waiting 6 months for this to happen , plus the previous vacuum has been rubbish really for several years despite all the maintenance , repairs and replacements. You know how it is. You save from something and then you buy it all shiny and new. MrBEVS thought he might take it for a trial run . I was not pleased. |

I now see that was the first one on the urban dictionary page. I didn't actually go there as on my results page UD suggested positively outstanding service. I'll know better next time and look properly  |

CBC doesn't often amuse me with their headlines, but this did with this one today
Home prices in Vancouver haven't gone down because people affected by COVID couldn't afford them to start with |

Same. I bought it thinking cordless would make it easier to go round more often (dog sheds an unbelievable amount). Six minute battery life.

That Dyson ball cleaner is not what you think.

This turned out to be less terrifying than the headline suggests, and is actually quite cute. Baby shark doodoo....

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Was going to switch to CIBC from Van City since Van City is a little behind the times technology wise, but goodness CIBC doesn't make it easy to open an account. Well the online part was easy, its the you need to go into a branch to show ID to finish part. Their website doesn't let me book an appointment online, I call the branches that are supposed to be open and they don't answer the phone, or they say they are temporarily closed even though the website says they are supposed to be open, the branches I have left messages at don't return my calls.
Then they send me an email near telling reminding me to make an appointment to finish the process, well I have been trying to...ha ha Maybe its a sign not to have an account with them, if they are making it this difficult to actually open an account, who knows how bad they will be after...ha ha |

Inspecting mirrors is a job I could really see myself doing.
I tried working in a muffler factory but that was exhausting. |

Someone stole an 800 pound radar camera right off the street. Police are looking for a couple of real big guys.
