Neeps! Love them! (and parsnips).
Also I cannot call rocket arugula, I just sound wrong saying it. I am also unable to say ‘Mom’ in a convincing manner. . I really can’t arugula the rocket, I don’t look like a ‘mom’, but I can’t say Mall with any degree of confidence either, so tend to refer to Walmart! |

'cos it's all about defining what "new normal" really means in HMG's mindset.. (a) break the rules (b) lie about it (c) get found out (d) admit that (a) and (b) happened (e) so that's ok then. I like MillieF's summary. |

*flashing lights of a police car"
Motorist pulls over and cop approaches driver. "Hello officer. I've had the virus and I think it may have damaged my eyesight." "I see sir." "So you see officer, I have been out for a drive to test it." Makes perfect sense doesn't it.:sarcasm: |

He and his partner were both infectious and travelled. It was all covered up initially...then supposedly about child care...and all the time his wife wrote in her magazine article about the period as if they hadn't even left London and how their kid was actually helping them. Bit by bit there are admissions and denials and then more admissions and more denials and then when he finally admits to something previously denied he explains he went for a drive - with his four year old in the back - because he was concerned his eyesight had worsened and he wanted to test it. It's not really a matter for the courts. You just can't be the chief advisor to government telling people to do one thing and then do something different against all official advice. Others breaking the rules have resigned. How are the police to enforce such matters when something like this happens? |

Myself, I think of him as a bit like that giraffe named Frank: Spoiler:
Not often that the bishops join in though. |

Logic of some people
Can't afford renters insurance = shouldn't have a place to live and be homeless. Probably the same people who complain about their being too many homeless people. |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I saw a squirrel fight this morning, you don't get that every day. It appeared to be one of a couple in residence squabbling with an interloper, though I'm sure the backstory is more involved than that.

OK it's a Sun article butA PIGEON has been detained by police on the India-Pakistan border after being accused of being a spy.
The alleged operative was found on the Indian side having been painted pink and was carrying around on its foot a ring with numbers on. Prosecutors will be asking that bail be denied as they consider it to be a flight risk. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/117212...-spy-pakistan/ |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I think I'd rather live somewhere hot and have air conditioning than live somewhere where it gets hot in summer but has no air conditioning.
Its only May and its already too warm for me...ha ha |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Well dang this toaster from the olden days is neat.... I also now understand why my grandma always said never to stick a knife into a toaster, not sure if its as relevant to modern day toasters, but seems back then it was not wise. Grandma also said never to put fingers into a fan which I never fully understood either since my fingers didn't fit through the grates around the fan, but later in my childhood, I saw an olden day fan, and well that made sense finally too.

I think my indoor comfort temp is 20C, ha ha
It's 23.5C inside right now, all widows open, and fan on but goodness I feel hot. My wife is always cold, so we don't work so well in regards to temp..ha ha |
