I've just ordered a large lamb donair at Wascana Donair and Shawrma (on my way walking to the pub), my treat after work.

One of the things I miss about England, well, Cambridge to be precise, was the proper yiros I could buy from a certain takeaway there (Gardenia, I think). Real chunks of lamb done properly authentic with a saliva inducing tenderness

The donair was invented in Halifax, I'll bet there are some good ones out there.

God that looks good. We don't really have anything that looks so nice here....I could just eat that right now

I feel compelled to go there again today to show that as a Canadian I am not intimidated, somewhat torn between the beef donair and chicken kebabs though.

A big fat horking hotdog with lots of fried onions and relish and honey mustard and chips and some Emu 999 Fortified Wine for my cold.

Spinach, kale, carrot, celery, apple, blueberries and some flax seed, all whizzed in a funky infomercial blender HID got for me. It didn't taste bad at all although probably not as good as the naff off chicken shawarma platter I originally had planned.

I think that's kind of the point. But it actually tasted very nice, the more blueberries you put in helps. Hopefully it'll go some way to allay the concerns of my tradiaonal three week Christmas beano.
