Re: Lunchtime Choices
Interestingly, I found myself at Earls the other night and couldn't believe how many orders of chicken wings that were being served. They must of had a lorryload full of them out the back.

When I see that sort of thing I wonder if some Hen Cabin type shenanigans is going on.

Given the cricket is on and I came in really early, I'm having an Indian and I've ordered an onion bhaji, chicken jalfrazi (extra onions and extra spicy) large rice pulao and two pieces of garlic naan.

Spicy noodle bowl with leeks mushrooms and bbq sausage.
For the noodles we are about to receive we are truly thankful.

Some grilled lingcod, a "Mediterranean" orzo pasta salad, some raw carrot sticks, celery and broccoli with a humus dip. No pudding today.

I had poached eggs and Marmite on toast. Lovely.

Beef and bean burrito that was so good I won't torture Oink by describing it, but contained no quinoa. I made 2 and have 1 wrapped up in the fridge for later or tomorrow.

These are 1 per meal burritos made with 12" tortillas; there's a limit to how many pounds of food you should eat at one sitting. I even give the microwaved leftover one I had today good marks. One thing I'm missing about the Okanagan is the variety of tortillas in the grocery stores but these are still really good.

We have 8" tortillas here too but in Oliver they get different kinds in for the Mexican migrant worker population and some of them are really good. There's even a small Mexican grocery store but I found some of the same items I buy in the Indian grocery across the road from us a little cheaper.

Blackened cajun style catfish eaten in Cajun country. To keep the link to Canada they were accompanied by sweet potato fries.
