Just lovely; number 91 bbq pork skewer and chopped spring rolls on rice noodles with n'uoc mam.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
Trimmings from the steelhead trout I got ready for brining and smoking along with a little piece of leftover smoked salmon were enough to make 2 big bowls of chowder. There's my omega-3's! Naturally I rendered down and added some bacon because you don't want to make it too healthy.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
I had butter and smoked trout and cream cheese on a bagel, then I had a half dozen little raw oysters with a drop of hot sauce, and I may be doing something else because there are more oysters.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
As I'm only allowed one meal a day now, I had freshly caught pink salmon with a mango salsa on a bed of salad.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
I only had one meal today. For the first time in about 4 years I had the buffet at the Hungarian Club. A bowl of bean soup, then a pork hock, 2 cabbage rolls, 2 pieces of sausage, a cutlet, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Dessert was 4 little slices of a roll that tasted like coconut rumballs. I'll eat a bunch of baby spinach tomorrow to atone for the absence of vegetables. I used to be able to go back for seconds at smorgasbords but not today. I'll have to try at China Liangs sometime soon if they're back to normal. I like the ginger beef.

Re: Lunchtime Choices
I just had sausage and eggs, toast and beans and a glass of merlot. In a Montreal cafe one morning a long time ago I saw an old man wearing a beret, eating bacon and eggs and having a glass of wine. I liked the look.
