I had pho 2 days in a row! I lost a bet to a co-worker so bought him soup yesterday, then a friend called last night and asked if I wanted to go today. Stewed beef yesterday, duck today; what a country! To make it a special day the parcel I've been waiting for for weeks arrived at work so I have a posh leather case and bluetooth keyboard for the new tablet so i don't have to use my phone for everything. I just run it off the wifi hotspot from my phone. :D

He's not a very nice person to do that. Especially as our local supermarket has stopped selling proper sausages. :frown:

Going to pick up a big naff off chicken shawarma, with extra chilli sauce on the way home because its a sunny Friday afternoon and any thought of returning to the office will be exorcised after the first bite.

That sounds good, I have worked through lunch, being a young hero of modern socialist production, and I think (ever attempting to mirror Oink), instead of heating up my leftover chicken curry I'll make chicken sandwiches out of it,

Oh :(

I've been reliably informed that we're having poached salmon, quiona and asparagus with no sauce, plus a salad with a lemon juice and ginger dressing.

Re: Lunchtime Choices

I'm refusing all quiona until I'm sure how to pronounce it, (no rush). Mmmm..... no sauce. That's got to be good for you. Poor me, I have to muddle through with no adult supervision at all! :p

Oh f'crissake it's only sausage potatoes and gravy with red onions sauteed and a dash of sherry, don't they feed you up there? I can recommend the best camp cooks, George Ross Catering - just tell the boss and I'll hook you up.

Spaghetti with seafood marinara. Giant Tiger has these packs of frozen Northwest Seafood Blend with shrimp, mussels and lots of squid so I thought I'd give it a shot. Results in about 10 minutes.
It's okay but I don't like the texture of the calamari as much as when I deep-fry or saute it. The rest of the bag will be in a chowder and I think that should be better.

Interestingly, I found myself at Earls the other night and couldn't believe how many orders of chicken wings that were being served. They must of had a lorryload full of them out the back.

When I see that sort of thing I wonder if some Hen Cabin type shenanigans is going on.

Given the cricket is on and I came in really early, I'm having an Indian and I've ordered an onion bhaji, chicken jalfrazi (extra onions and extra spicy) large rice pulao and two pieces of garlic naan. :)
