It is now confirmed that the Dad will miss out on the wedding.

Re: Go for it Harry marry Meghan.

I'm tempted to ask the question, What do the couple think of all this?

Would they have preferred a simple Registry Office do and a few drinks in the pub afterwards?

Are they happy that their day is controlled and mandated by tradition and influenced by family issues.

I'm no lover of the royals and would prefer that they had a job description like other citizens but as a royal Harry hasn't walked away from the family business so I suppose the rough comes with the smooth.

Still, I'm tempted who consider whether instead of looking forward to the great day they are secretly dreading it.

I think my invitation got lost in the post. Maybe the Royals are upset that i did not invite them to any of my weddings ?

Are you serious? The Canadian media is covering this nonstop.

Covering it, yes, but certainly not non-stop or all encompassing ................... at least here in the west!

It's been the last item on the World News on CBC radio, last or last but one item on local radio. Mid-report or later in TV news. On the inside page of the National Post section of the Vancouver Su, and inside pages of the Province.. We don't get the local free paper so don't know how they are covering it. Other local radio stations seem to be carrying snippets.

easy to skip over, and certainly not bombarded!

I thought it unlikely you'd have the CL final as being this Saturday.

Err dont you mean the FA Cup Final featuring that other team from the North West at the other end of the East Lancs Rd.

CL final is next week:sneaky: By then they will be on honeymoon bonking away and they won't be bothered about Ronaldo hoisting that trophy.

I knew the CL final was next week, I thought the wedding was too

Even if Pretty Boy does hoist the trophy, I'll still be pleased that we got further than any other EPL team

I think they were originally going to be on the same day, but I could have just made that up

They probably narrowed the wedding down to either of the two cup final Saturdays and then chose according to which teams made it. ;)
