Not sure what to make of his sermon (the small part that I heard). While it was going on, the royals and establishment seemed totally aghast, and yet in the papers today, the Bishop and sermon are being celebrated as a exciting breath of fresh air.
I watched his sermon on youtube and I thought it was good and full of energy and its just who he is and how he gives his sermons. Suppose for some royals they may have not experienced such a sermon before and unsure how to react. |

It isn't unusual in the Episcopalian Church in the US, especially when you have a black preacher although some white preachers can achieve the same energy level. Our Religious Instruction teacher when I started high school in the UK back in the 50s was a tub-thumping Welsh Methodist! Boy, could he get up the rhetoric if we got him going, giving his desk some good thumps along the way ...... and apparently he was the same on Sunday in church. Martin Luther King is the prime example that comes to my mind ................ he was a magnificent speaker, but also a preacher of the same ilk. |

You probably didn't try to copy a picture directly into a post. I did it once with an attachment and it worked so gave it a shot. Otherwise the button is there as normal. Who else besides me said they didn't have one?

No edit button, no delete option..... there's a red button that does nothing. Please move the above post to the upgrade issues board.
The only smirk I saw was on this one, proving that money does not equal class: I was sad because I had no shoes, and then I met a man with no class. Once IB have seen and taken stock, I'll get rid for you. |

I'll (hopefully) encase it in spoiler tags for now Caretaker.

I am not a chick flic viewer or someone who usually says 'ahh' but this pair made me feel warm and good. A cracking Bishop Currie and super young Musician just added more sparkle. A thoroughly enjoyable spectacle that Britain does so very well.

I liked that it was a modern wedding. It showed the royal family are really in touch with the people and not so stuffy anymore. Especially the horse drawn carriage, that was a nice nod to modernity.
