i don’t think so. I was surprised at what seemed like the almost constant coverage in the UK when I was there last month and this month.

It's on every news bulletin....
There is a NB group of royal family followers who I've seen in the paper for past events but I've not seen them either. |
Re: Go for it Harry marry Meghan.
I think the UK is promoting the wedding because they say it's good for tourism plus it detracts from the political turmoil. Maybe it's the same reason for the US???
I'm not planning to watch it, but most of the people I've spoken to in the last few days are. Some asked if I was planning to fly to the UK for it  |

I can't think which wedding it was but I remember a few years ago a receptionist at one of the out-patient clinics at our hospital here was all dressed up for it and had been watching hours of TV coverage on the big day. |
Re: Go for it Harry marry Meghan.
I'll be getting up at 4am pacific time to watch it. I can't wait to see who walks her down the aisle.

Nope! Certainly not that much in Canada I gather that the CBC will have it on TV ........... starting at 1 am Pacific time. I'll be fast asleep! There is, I think, a lot of excitement in the US ............ they get excited about the several events in the Royal family just because ............ I think because it is so different from the US. But in this case there is an American divorcee marrying into the Royal family, and the last time that happened was Wallis Simpson, after her relationship led to the abdication. Many young girls in the US will now be imagining that they can cross the Pond and marry "well". |

It's on every news bulletin, the two major channels will be broadcasting from Windsor from about 8am on Saturday ,there have been programmes every night for the last few days, so yes, a major media event, people are already camping out on the route trying to get a spot as near to the church as possible, people with homes overlooking the route are renting them out for upwards of £2000 a night, so plenty of media coverage, and it's still 3 days to go.

Re: Go for it Harry marry Meghan.
Maybe they can honeymoon with the rest of the family in Yekaterinburg?
