Know what you mean, wasn't going to report in as got weighed today and stayed the same. Last week just half pound off. My trouble is not been to the gym for over week, and too much liquid sugar (wine) last weekend. Still another new week, so keep positive. Think of the summer and that bikini.

doesn't your weight depend on monthly cycle mine does, up down and so on, even when i am loosing weight its still like that, so maybe just a bit of that ? i need to step mine up as its staying the same thats what happens when you get older, keep at it will be easier in the spring

Feeling bad this week I went to Curves on Tues and worked my butt off, too hard and got into the purple zone and stayed there, couldn't bring my heart rate down to the green level.

red - not working hard enough
yellow - getting there
green - spot on
blue - a little too hard
purple - burning muscle not fat

Wed I had works so took the Henry for a walk in the fresh fallen snow, went to work, met friend for lunch, did some shopping, picked kid up from disco, took the Henry - again in the deeper fresh fallen upto my knees snow came home cooked the tea and collapsed.

Woke up yesterday and took the Henry with the full intention of going to Curves after, by the time I got back to drop the Henry off I was aching all over and felt poo. So had a nice shower and sat on the sofa reading for a bit, then got myself together to get makings of Beef Wellington for Valentines - it didn't happen, decided to do Valentines tonight instead.

So once again I have returned from taking the Henry (got up late again) and I still feel lousy, so I am giving Curves a miss again today. Hopefully I will feel a little more human tomorrow and go in the morning. Failing that, onwards and upwards, next week is a brand new start!

Not expecting much weight/inch loss this time, just not got back into the swing of it all yet.

yes and no, have have both lost weight and gained weight at time of month! i just haven't got back into "good" eating habits since christmas really, or rather there's been too many temptations around, particularly at work, to lose weight. have had a pretty good day today (until the pub tonight!) and know that i just really have to work on planning my food for the week ahead rather than deciding when i get home what to have.

i'll get there eventually, and at least i'm still going to my slimming world group rather than giving up altogether!

here's to the next week

piff - don't feel bad, as you say you're not back into the swing of things, happens to us all (exactly where i am right now) when the time is right for you then it will all fit together. no point pushing yourself to do something that your heart's not really into, it just won't work.

focus on the positives if you can!

How does Curves work - can you just pop in to work out whenever you have time, or do have to have a regular schedule?

Well havent been on this thread for a bit, coz all the time I've been in Canada, the weight has been going up.. up .. up..

Now, with our iminent return to the UK, the weight is yet again falling off - but - I really do not recommend this type of yoyo weight gain/loss for anyone!

ok..second week at weight watchers...i was good, very good! hten i lost my booklet...and did my best. Lost 200 gram, not even a pound. I could have cried and thrown in the towel right there and then, I thought i'd lost at least a pound or two...but none?!

next week the period hit...at hte risk of tmi, i have a six week cycle and this was 2 weeks early (ovulation time usually). Explained, thinks I, and I start moving, generally keeping track and trying to work out and ...argh! Get to the new place. Its 6.2 km each way, and after day one, I was still sore. Tues was local weigh in night but i was feeling like utter crap, so didnt' go. Wed and Thurs i was home sick with the period that kept me eating cocodomol like sweeties and slept, slept and slept. Fri i was back at work and being good. Sat and sun wer ea bit hectic but i was mostly good. Today i've got 4 points to go..and last week the period hit again (1 week between two periods)..right on time. I figure first was breakthrough, for some reason. Sorry, probably TMI. I'm really hoping i've lost a pound at least in the last two weeks..else I don't know what i'll do. I've been cycling 9-12 km a day, and being good..and i'm just very worried this isnt' working and that my body is screwed up and i'll never lose weight, ever, and everyone just thinks i'm a glutton and ...yeah you get the drift. I have issues and right now they're massively being triggered. Sorry. I'll get off my soapbox .

My local Curves is open form something like 7am - 7pm (you can turn up at 7pm and still work out) Mon-Fri and 7am to noon of Staurdays. They recommend a min of 3x per week but you can go everyday. And it's when you have time. This week I intend to go Tues 1:15ish, Thurs 3:15ish and Friday morning sometime - but that may all change yet I like that it is so flexible, you just pop along when your ready.

ok i'd like to apologise for the last rant..i think i have a few issues i need to work through.

went to weigh in today, dreading it..and i've lost 2.4 kg (5 pound?) totallying 4 kg now (8.8 pound)

So colour me a) surprised this actuallly is keeping working (no diet plan ever has before, so yeah, i'm amazed) and b) feeling very smug.

Yay! I had my weigh and measure today - 1st one since our trip back to the UK and I have to say I have been very hit and miss with Curves - this week being the 1st since we got back where I have actually gone for the 3 full sessions (I was poorly last week).

To my amazement I lost another 4 and something inches I gained a little weight and my BMI has gone up a little but so far my total inch loss is a whopping 19 and something inches and a measley 4lbs

Keep at it everyone!

Has anyone done the Herbal Life/Magic thing?

I am thinking it will be god for me as I struggle to eat breakfast and lunch and then eat lots at night.

i've just done my back in so no gym for me for at least 2 weeks...lovely.

my gp is thinking of sticking me on xenical. Anyone heard of it or had any luck with it? its supposed to help absorb dietary fat. I don't get that much (being really careful with that) but i'm willing to try anything!
