I watched it on iplayer -using expat shield. Gets the thumbs down from me. I might watch the 3° episode though because it's in piemonte.

That will do just nicely thank you.
When shall I expect you?
Can you throw in the odd football match and tournament as well so that I don't have to stand around the pitch and pretend that I know something about football?

Have you all seen the hoo-ha in the UK about horse meat being found in Tesco burgers? And the 100s of consequent jokes?

Seeing horse meat being sold here has become quite normal for me I suppose. Just like veal which also creates quite a stink in certain groups.
I don't buy horse meat but I was told by the paediatrician that it was very good, lean meat to ween Chloe on and packed full of iron.

I'm still too British I suppose. Mine get a boiled egg and soldiers
None of this pasta in bianco or riso bianco.
They also adore poached eggs.

I see nothing wrong with horse-meat in burgers as long as they say what ingredients they use. The only mystery is why they use it, seeing that here it's more expensive than beef. Or do they use the meat of worn-out racehorses, previously used as pet-food?
Horsemeat makes a good brasato with polenta, but I'm less keen on the steaks.

I think that's why there is so much beef about it (ha ha boom boom) - it's because the ingredients were not properly listed.

A birreria near me serves polenta with musso. Goodbye donkey sanctuaries.

In Esselunga tonight I saw a new range of crisps by ' amica' they have roast chicken and cheeseburger flavour . I'v never liked flavoured crisps myself but I know there are people on here who miss their chicken / cheese and onion . The other ggod news was that the bad weather obviously kept the 'mad old bat ' section of the community at home and the trip took 25 minutes less than usual.......

Sorry, but I can not bring myself to eat either horse or donkey meat. I have never bought ready made burgers either, always make my own from the meat that the butcher minces in front of me. Having said that, who knows what meat is inside the italian sausages that I cook sometimes?

I watched them trying to make an "American Hambuger" (whatever that is) on MssterChef last night ... 2 out of 3 failed miserably ..

.. should've put some horse-meat in it I thought!
