I know what you both mean, every waking thought, Oh I'll just see if there's any news on BE thats every 10 minutes if I'm in. Even when my OH comes in he shouts hi in the direction of the PC. GIVE ME SOMETHING ELSE TO THINK ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M GOING SLOWLY INSANE.

I'm not sure which is worse - checking this site every 5 mins or sewing in name tags in school uniform trousers - well at least typing this takes me away from the sewing....

Online.
PMSL - I'm the same.
Ah Jane I don't mean to make light of all this but I AM laughing - in recognition of fellow madness! The neurosis is well set it. I would probably have to declare it on my second round of medicals The thing is - I haven't seen a single person post on this website to say they got rejected?

I am on paper and it's taking a super-human effort not to lose the plot watching online applicants speed past. Can't believe I might not even be halfway there yet (applied March) My brain has also started playing tricks on me, wondering if I got something wrong and I'll be turned down, and because I've been out of work studying I won't be able to apply again for another year Think I'll rob a bank and go hide out in the Bahamas if that happens!
Do you need a visa to live there???
Obviously lot's of money!
Considering writing to Jimmy Saville, now I know he no longer does fixits but I reckon I have a better chance of a visa from him than the DIAC at the moment.
Now then! Now then!

We're in the same boat as a lot of other people on here. We applied through an agent who submitted paper based application. i too am an MODL 175 application and my visa app was acknowledged 10th December 2007. 10 months and over later and not even a sniff of a CO or movement. We didn't front load as we were advised not too - and boy am i glad I didn't now - doesn't look like we'll have any movement before 12 months so would have had to pay twice for Meds and police checks.
We are about to sign up for a new rental (6 months), and can;t see ourselves going till this time next year now.
It's all so frustrating. We went and bought 2 new cars a couple of months ago as well as we previously had a couple of sheds because we thought we'd be leaving soon, and the frustration got the better of us - we hold fairly senior postions within our companies and driving a green Kia Rio can only last so long.
Last December we were all excited about the future, I had contact with a company who were prepared to give me a good job with an excellent wage etc, but because of the time it's taking that's gone cold, hopefully the option will still be there when my Visa finally does happen. Now the excitement has gone, and been replaced with uncertainty, are we doing the right thing, etc.
So frustrating
Oh well. thought I'd have a moan!
