Default Re: NOVEMBER '08 APPLICANTS

I like many others have just been removed from the CSL. That's fair enough, if these trades aren't required just now, why should we receive priority processing ? What is frustrating though is the lack of any sort of time frame so people could at least have an idea what to do with their lives. My heart goes out to those that have sold houses etc. etc. and now have no idea how long they will be waiting.
No amount of complaining will change the current global situation as even those who are supposed to govern don't seem to ba able to predict how long or how hard the recession will hit.
Life deals cruel blows sometimes but be sure of this. There are people far worse off than ourselves and having to wait longer for a visa is not the worse thing in the world that can happen to you.

Chris.

How many of us who are on 175 CSL have submitted their meds/pcc as of now? When should we lodge our med/pcc in present scenario

One of my friend had conveyed to me that it is better to upload meds before CO asks for them coz it might implicate that we ourselves are lazy enough not to upload the meds and the case may get delayed. Whats your opinion?
I am thinking of going in for my meds in 2nd/3rd week of April 2009

I dont think you can upload 'meds' they come in a sealed envelope you are not supposed to open the envelope but send them by post when requested by CO.

Well i will wait till they ask for it, i received following reply from DAIC
"However, in relation to this priority processing, applicants have the
option to wait on a request from a case officer before proceeding with
health and character checks."

I don't think so its will be a any bad impression to DIAC, may be a bit delay in visa grant. So no need to be confused

I recieved the same response when I made query to DIAC. But it is better practice to get your meds done earlier particularly if you are CSL. This avoids delay in visa grant. Generally HOC takes 21-25 days to finalize your medical if all OK otherwise more delays. Also CO takes time for security checks. If you do it earlier, you could save your fews more weeks.

You are not supposed to send any thing to case officer directly. You get your meds done with your pannel doctor. Then doctor send your sealed envelops to HOC. Then HOC updates your CO with your medical result.

If you receive your envelop in any way, it invalides your medicals.

Well I done my meds and X Rays in Australia (Parramatta) and they sent them to my home address I contacted DIAC to tell them I have the meds and X-Rays in my possession and they advised me to keep in a safe place and not to open the Envelope...... I have a few friends who have been through the same procedure and their meds and X-Rays were not invalidated......

DIAC has already advised me that they are valid and are to be submitted with my 47ES & Form 785 when I am ready.

PS

Hardley think so since my friend entire 856 (inc Meds & X-Rays) took 5 days from lodgement to granted & stamped in passport.

I have seen reports of 856 processed in 2 days on this forum.
