I was wondering ..when a CO is allocated the DIAC informs the applicant isn't it?
Any idea how long this CO is going to handle your application while its on his/her hand?
The postings on other threads are sometimes confusing, this one guy was summoned by the CO today and grants his Visa the day after...! Can this happen?
Isn't this CO supposed to run security checks request health and go through Police clearance??

Thanks a lot for the information... all this time i thought a CO will contact me first to announce that he or she has taken the file over beofre asking for health and PCC. I wish and hope and pray our applications falling to a CO's hand anytime sooner despite the catagory.

Hi guys, sorry it's been a while. Huge congrats to those with Visas so far, very exciting!!!
We've had our medicals and they've been received and finalised, that should be all from our end now, so just waiting for case officer or visa to appear
We were unsure where to go, Sydney or Melbourne. Would have prefered Sydney but after looking at house prices there and where we would afford something decent sized (ended up about 45 mins + from the coast), so we've decided on Melbourne - just need to invest in a wet suit!
It's all still exciting but feels unreal like were talking about someone else! Family all now know, keep asking whats happening etc. Hard to explain when we don't know whats going on behind the DIAC scenes.
Catch our Nov pals soon, Steven&Lisa.

I posted the message on 14th feb .. got an automated reply the same day saying that someone will get back to me within 5 days so do not post again. and then 4 days later got an email saying that they confirm that my application was on CSL but they will be processing all apps received before Sept 2007 until 20th march. and the next day my status changed to application being processed further.

But till today nothing changed in my application :-( Any "being processed futher" :-( Should it be changed ? Or not ? How may I see where it is noted?

file...."
But till today nothing changed in my application :-( Any "being processed futher" :-( Should it be changed ? Or not ? How may I see where it is noted?

Should I post any message again about my application ?

meanwhile I have sent my meds and have uploaded my pccs so that the day the co opens my file she/he has everything ...
i'm trying to break my habit of checking my status every hour ... so I can understand ur impatience :-) hope we all hear the good news soon.

Dont worry Aneta .. you will get a co soon .. infact all CSL'c will get it by the end of may .. so rest assured. Its been almost a month since my status changed to "application being processed further" but I havent been contacted by anyone .. so I dont think it is of much significance ..

hye Aneta.. i am an april 2008 applicant and my occupation is on CSL+MODL. i am in the same situation. I too sent a PLE to DIAC and got the same reply as u got and my status also didn't change to something 'being processed further...' i think informing DIAC about being on csl is just for the internal working of the department. so we should wait for a while. there are couple of may 2008 applicant who got their cos, so i think we are not that far now.

You might need to remember some of the applicants on the above list may also be state sponsored even if their occupation has been taken off the CSL
