Re: April 2008 Applicants
Cheers Ben - in all honesty it's probably going to be July! Not had a sniff of the house selling and my daughter does her GCSEs next year, so the logical thing is to stay till she's completed them. However, if the house sold tomorrow we'd be off.

Re: April 2008 Applicants
I got something very important to tell you guys.
Although the application Status on the e-Visa System has not been changed a bit since region manager contacted us on Nov 6th,, which changed the status to “application being processed further”, we have received a message from Case Officer for the first time today.
We got the PR Visa Granted today!!!
Here’s some info for your reference.
Application Type:Class VE, subclass 175 Skilled Independent
Lodgement Date: 15 April 2008
Visa Grant Date: 25 November 2008
Initial Entry Date: No Later Than 27 May 2009
Country: Japan
MODL: Specialising in Java
Work Experience: 4.5 years in IT field at the time of lodgement
[Secrets]
I claimed through the post-lodgement enquiry twice on Oct 21st and Oct 28th to expedite the process and received email from a region manager on Nov 6th informing us of Case Officer Assignment in 2–3 weeks.
Than I claimed directly to the region manager to further accelerate the process and it worked…we got PR visa.

Thanks memewest, I hope that will help
I'm just having one of the bad days on the emotional rollercoaster of the visa process
They can move on with my application now because they have driven me insane

Re: April 2008 Applicants
Being a HR country applicant, I have a feeling that my grant will rollover to the 2nd half of 2009. Yet I check my status, logon to this forum everyday and read all the updates. I know most of the familiar forum names today will get their visa before me and will disappear after a "we-got-it" post, yet I'm hanging on in there. By the way, you were talking DIAC driving you insane.... tell me more about it....
