Oh god can someone who have already applied please answer my question posted in my previous post as below;
Thanks.
If I am in QLD on a 457 and applying for rsms do I post my application to the Brisbane Business Centre?http://www.immigration.gov.au/contac...entres/qld.htm ? Do you just address the application to Brisbane business centre with the business center's postal address as listed in the link above on the envelop? Do you have to indicate its an rsms application on the envelope?

I havent done this bit yet but as far as I'm aware you post it to the same Business Centre that your job nomination was lodged at by your employer. Just post it to them (I would courier it personally to make sure it gets there). Dont think you have to put what type of app it is on the envelope as I'm sure they will work that out when they open it.

According to the Brisbane office this week they have only just got to the end of January applications.
Apparently it's now stated on the official website somewhere that it will be 6 months before appointment of a case officer. That may be optomistic though as they have 2000 RSMS / ENS applications on there desk and more arriving daily.
The good news is they now have 2 more staff members so that may help a bit.

TWO AND A HALF WEEKS !!! .... Perth (2 and a half months) ... Darwin (2 and a half months !!) ....
Should we move our applications ???

I don't think 2.5 weeks is uncommon for processing time.
The long time is getting a case officer in the first place.

Our agent here in Adelaide told us to expect 6 months, they said that although the odd one will be quicker, most are taking closer to 6 months.

I wonder what is the reason Brisbane office is always behind in terms of visa processing (457, rsms)?
Could it be more people are applying to get into Qld? Probably not as migration and thus applications would be distributed similarly over most states (except maybe NT and ACT). Also we're talking about rsms (not migrants going into capital cities) here not ENS so I can't see good reasons why Brisbane office is always lagging behind the others!
Could it be badly managed manpower? Seems likely.
