sorry to butt in. congrats on your news! We are new to the forum.
How did you get an open work permit? could i get one? I am a self employed carpenter/builder and don't know the best route to take visa-wise. just starting out on the whole process.

I know, some people have got them on saturdays though.
I know how you must be feeling, we had hope to be out on 19th, we still havent sold our house either, things are looking pretty por just now.

Oh ya beat me to it .. was just gonna say am pretty sure Paul in Victoria got his on a Saturday !
If it's any consolation to anyone I came home to find my dog had had an incontinent moment [s] and have spent the last hour with mask and rubber gloves on !

mine was approved on a thursday but arrived the following wednesday. I dont think there is a pattern...think it just depends.

No news here either! Maybe magic Friday will become magic Saturday! I can't even imagine it coming anymore but got to keep the faith! Fingers crossed for tomorrow and next week for everybody.
Just had an email from CHC - a reply to one we sent on Tuesday it says, "Work permits issued, will be mailed shortly" woo hoo so excited already drinking the champers! There is hope Tanah yours may be coming soon!
