Hi everyone, glad your settling in Paul in Victoria. I eventually had a relpy from the CHC saying my application had gone for final decision, so hopefully TWP should arrive next week. Then I can hand my notice in and we can go the end of sept. Yiphee!!! (thats the plan anyway!!).

Well - Im now startng my Postie stalking

PLW - congrats ( or Paul in Victoria i should say) hope everything is going well - it was a bit hair raising for a while there lol

I had my meds done 3 weeks ago last Thursday - have been told its roughly 4weeks after that u can expect your twp on doorstep so I'll start my stalking on Tuesday!!!!! Really not looking forward to this bit

Ha Ha - I already think the postie thinks im weird anyway - he will now just think Ive totally lost it lmao!!!

i want to be booking my flights asap when it lands ( note im being positive lol its a rarity) so my house looks like a Box shop - we are DIY ing the shipping to keep costs down as we havent sold our house yet - so all packing is down to us - just wondering how long it wil take me to realise ive sealed a box with the cat inside lol. I know it may be premature to do all this as we havent got the actual permit yet BUT im trying to be positive and if i dont do it now it will all have to be done when it arrives and that will take longer - i wanna GO asap when / if i get it

Ive had a headache for 3 days now lol and feel permanently sicky ( nerves) the reality it setting in and im scared to death!!!!! lol

We are madly sorting tipping and giving away stuff we don't want to take so how does the DIY work then ?
Sort it and pack it while you can, it will be mad when you get your twp soon x

I start postie stalking on tuesday too. I had some near misses this week. First I got a postcard from royal mail saying we could not deliver your parcel/letter as it was too big for the letter box..well turned out be something else. Then mr. postie rang the bell and handed me a big brown envelope- turned out to be magazines that a friend wanted me to read .AAAARRRGGGH!! Dont do this to me:curse:

Coffeept :- DIY means we pack our stuff we do the inventory list, we load it into the container and seal it, we take the paperwork to the immigration office in Vancouver and we have to unlaod it at the other end. Hard work but saves a fortune!!!! someone else on here recommended it, said they did it with no hassle at all and saved themselves loads. Our quote is £2000 cheaper than anyone else - so i dont mind the hard work coz atthis point all pennies help

I am officially postie stalking too been 4 weeks since we sent off for the work permit,straight forward case no meds needed just hubbys permit, ive never jumped out of bed so early
