I'll find out if OHs employer intends to FedEx it or what they've done previously.

Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
Hi there
Checked the email at 1am on Sat morning - had an email from Andy's employer saying that the Canadian government had been in touch asking for a signed copy of the employment contract so it seems that they have started working on the LMO! At last!!
For those applying to Alberta, Andy's application went in about the 20th April.
Gryph, shouldn't be much longer!

I have just shown your post to my OH who is also waiting his LMO but from Regina.
Does the Canadian Govt ask for this with all LMO's or jsut pot luck. WE have the contract but the employer said not to bother signing it and posting it back as they could do all that in person when OH starts job.
But if Govt are going to request this it would be better to have it done than have to waste time posting it from Northern Ireland and holding the process up by another two weeks.
Of course he, being a typical man, says they might not ask for it and if they do we will post it then. :curse:

Would it have to be an original, he was wanting to keep that to produce at POE for WP?

Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
Hi again
I know, we are so excited, we are going to have to start getting organised!
Andy's boss just asked us to fax a signed copy of the contract back to him so I don't think the Govt needs an original copy. If they get back to us asking for one I'll let you know.
So hopefully the LMO shouldn't be much longer. We'll still have the wait for the work permit but the end is in sight. Andy has decided he wants to stay here until the end of October anyway as it is his mum's 60th and for the sake of a couple of weeks he doesn't want to miss it.
Gryph, what are you doing about booking flights... are you going to wait until you have the WP in your hand or are you booking beforehand and hoping for the best?

I was sent the lmo by my employer which was emailed to be ( as an attachment) so it wasn't the original, and I took it to CHC and that was fine
