IMHO* it could be a pint of skimmed milk (red), semi-skimmed (green) & whole (blue) - why I retain this incredibly useless information in my head, I don't know OR in terms of a newspaper, maybe it's the tabloids like the Sun, Daily Mirror, Daily Star etc who tend to display their names/logos in red OR as you say it could be a Labour party supporting newspaper. . . . . . . . . .

THE CHARTER FLIGHT BRITS ARE ON ROUTE FOR GOA TODAY
Thomas Cook Airlines TCX 04K left Manchester Airport at 07 00 and should be arriving at Dabolim in a few hours time. Then there's Thompson's TOM 158 which departs at 15 15 later today.
What an utter disgrace it is that Goa has no beach ficilities for all these people.

I know if it was the first time that I was going to Goa I would be bitterly disappointed that there was no beach facilities available.
I have been told that there are a few chairs on the beach at the bottom of Beach Street where some locals are charging 50 rupees per chair, the shack is not up and there is no food or drinks. What a joke!

Should the British Tour Operators be taking tourists to Goa if it is too early for Goa to receive and accommodate them?

It is hard to understand as to why they are out to hit there own tourist business to an extent that it is damaging it so much.
It is rumoured that the lack of sun beds on the beach is causing conflict amongst the Russians as they are saying that one had the sun bed the day before and they should be taking turns to share. What a bad state of affairs! God only knows what's going to happen now all the Brits have arrived, it is going to be manic!
It would serve them right if tour operators received so many complaints from their clients that they pulled out of going to Goa till the start of say December therefore, making their tourist season shorter. Think money is the only thing that these people taking and paying the bungs understand.

They are due to discuss the shacks on the 5th November. Hopefully they will be allocating the lots then. Even then the shacks have to be erected which can take several days

Just wish there was a way that these "FAT CATS" would see sense in all this and realise that they are driving the tourists away from Goa and it is these tourists that will never ever return. So sad!

The Dolphin Shack at the end of Holiday Street is open and is full then there are beds only until you get to Buddha Shack then almost none until you get to Calangute steps. Some of them have drinks in cold boxes and one or two say they can get you a meal as they have a kitchen (somewhere) and some are asking for money and some not. Not quite the same as sitting in a shack with cold beer and chicken tikka masala is it?
John Lobo (Good Luck shack in Baga) is quoted as saying it will be about 15th November when they will be up and running. He is the chairperson of one of the shack owners associations
