Had a friend who claimed that alcohol was his "dreaded stimulus".......everyone laughed!
My main problems were coffee and cheese, but since I have cut the booze, no problem.
But My God, do I get some "dairy" hangovers now?

No love, coffee was a Migraine stimulus while I was still drinking- migraines so bad you wanted to die.

Went to the beach the other day and decided to have some fun and go for some jet skiing.
I was appalled that now they all require you to take a "guide" (what a stupid designation) for safety reasons. Being with a friend we had no desire to be a threesome with some stranger. If Indian people can't swim it becomes everybody's problem. We always hear people drowning in the sea because of the currents etc... It's 90% of the time just because they can't swim or extremely poorly. No jet skiing for me. I was amazed at how all the Indian tourists were so happy to go with their "guide" like children.

Hi Have been told by Noni to put my experiences of the Boracay Island on here.
As many of you know i live in Goa but recently have had the opportunity of travelling with a great family and have been in Kauai Hawaii for 6 months now i'm in the Boracay island phillipines for the next 5 months if not longer.
I must admit i went here with the opinion it would be like goa, how wrong can a person be.... goa 20 years ago... its so clean and friendly and cheap
the road are sweeped continously, rubbish is collected from every household rich or poor, even the small wooden houses are immaculate no rubbish to be seen anywhere.
you can get a tricycle around the whole island for 20 peisos which is same as the rupee magic and a good meal for 100p, visas are obtainable for 6 months then can be extended without leaving the island, Manilla is only 45 mins away for shopping brilliant, if given the opportunity ie selling my flat in Goa i'd move here, the people are genuine really genuine. same weather but life continues bars remain open no matter what the weather.really wonderful experience i can reccomend it to anyone.

talking of coffee (which somebody was) - has anyone tried it at Xavier's in Mapusa market - they put the equipment (and menus**) in last year. I haven't tried it 'cos I'm usually hot and bothered and just call for Kingfisher and 'snacks'.
(It's a welcome oasis in hell at the moment!!!!)
