The Tribune editorial says."we have opened up our economy. We are the world's largest democracy"

The government has also curbed exports by setting a minimum price, making onions more expensive for foreigners and cheaper at home...
Antara Dev Sen says that "the problem with our democracy is that our representatives do not represent us. They represent their own interests"

Try getting anything other than outrage from a local with onions at 60R/- a kilo........rains too heavy in Belgaum, border charge for haulage, etc.....

Nobody even mentions the price of fish anymore.....unaffordable for locals.

MRP on beer's gone up too, and a host of other essentials.

The onions we buy at the weekly market in the village we live in here in the UK work out at cheaper than 60R/- a kilo. We did pay £4.05 a pint recently for real ale in a local pub. It is ok for the Indian government to claim there is no more famine but people will still starve anyway if they can not afford to buy the basic food items.

Any one knows when Modi is coming to London ? I see the yanks have objected already to his visa. The Labour Party have really prostituted them selves with this one but then Milly Milliband was never one for the fine print. Its funny that greasy old rag Vaz has not got on the bandwagon like he did with Alemao when he visited Swindon to check on his families hidden bank accounts

He hasn't accepted the invitation (yet), Australia have also invited him.
No visa has been asked for from USA!

With reference to riots -- see post 7034, what about the anti- Sikh riots of 1984, no one from Congress prosecuted, no justice there.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_anti-Sikh_riots

Regardless of what you may think of Modi's guilt or non-guilt, wouldn't a break from the corrupt Congress party be a benefit?? They may yet choose Sushma Swaraj as BJP candidate?

So, no you can't. just hypothesis, hearsay and media speculation, rather than your statement of absolute fact then.
