"He also said I wouldn't dream of coming to Britain and trying to buying property without reseaching the law,and if I could"

In between her rant though she did say to him you obviously haven't been out of India sir.(He looked blank faced at her) "If you went to Britain you can buy houses, own businesses, get educated, and free welfare state"!!!.His answer was then Britain is stupid madam,I rest my case:curse::curse::curse::curse:

Stupid man whoever he was - was he at the bank or at the 'builders'? Either way the idiot hasn't done his research either. If he's a builder, then why did he sell to a FN without doing his research and if he's a banker why did he let them open an account without residency. I would have smacked him:curse::curse: .. and then I definitely would have been banned ..... from Goa that is :mad:

I asked my 'builders' to provide FIRC's from their banks and after some delay they did.
Which bank was it (we should be told!)
I suggest your friends get their lawyer to issue RTI applications to the builder and the bank asking how the money was transferred (or copies of bank statements - my own bank marks foreign receipys as e.g. 'NEFT' which seems to indicate foreign transfer).

RBI asked them to get a letter from there builder to state the money came through proper banking channels,he refused so they went to the builders bank,Its the bank that was taken over by HFDC.
I have just had an e-mail from them stating that RBI are going to get in touch with this bank personally,Apparently RBI are trying to help them out of this mess.So hopefully there might be hope at the end of this mess.I will tell them Andy to get this RTI application(what is it) I will let you know how they get on
Thanks for all your posts,Ill pass it onto them they are not BE members

This one is unbelievable - they know who the drug peddlars are yet they still do not arrest them.

http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/...100170738.html

There must be more money made for the cops and politicians from this business than they are getting from anywhere else.

Exactly my thoughts. Do you know that even the man begging on the beach with no legs has to pay as well.

Just rereading these important posts and think that in honesty they are misplaced in a section entitled In todays News papers. They are so important in terms of information. Set up a new Thread about property issues.
