TV publicity for Brits buying property in Cyprus
Typical - publicity for British buyers of property in North Cyprus - I can't believe more Brits have 'purchased' in North Cyprus than have in Goa, yet the Cyprus buyers are getting a half hour TV programme on Friday May 22nd at 8pm & what are British buyers in Goa getting? yes, sweet F.A. - no change there then!
From the trailer on TV - the situation of the buyers in Cyprus sounds like it could be similar to Goa, except the government in North Cyprus are looking to demolish the properties rather than just confiscate them! Mediterranean Nightmares: TonightITV 1 Granada Following a recent European Court of Justice ruling which forced a British holiday home owner to return the land to its original owner in northern Cyprus, Mike Nicholson investigates whether thousands more could lose their properties in the same way SUB News Magazine/Current Affairs Friday 22nd May on ITV 1 Granada from 8:00pm to 8:30pm Regards Hemingway |

Think the This Morning one is also about Cyprus - will watch just in case there is anything of interest to any of us on it.

Re: TV publicity for Brits buying property in Cyprus
The difference between Goa and North Cyprus is that anyone buying in North Cyprus should have been fully aware that Turkey had invaded and people had occupied property rightfully belonging to 'Greek Cypriots'. In Goa most people checked the legal position and followed the rules.

Are these suspicious deaths or does the number include those by natural causes?
That still leaves a substantial amount with unidentified cause, most of which are written off as "natural", or "accidental" and case closed, saves police time, and no proper investigative procedure here, or forensics. |
