we don't know she was murdered, she could have fallen off the train.
BUT this is Goa and either could be true. Have the rains started yet? |

Do you really think that this was an accident?? I can't believe that you could be so naive to think that this was not murder. Living here has completely opened my eyes to the danger to the foreigners who live here. There are things that you cannot say publicly but please be aware that what you read in newspapers or see on the news is rarely true. To be frank...fallen off the train....my arse!!
What we did notice though was there was certainly an increase of muggings the short time we were out there along our top road. There were two tourist mugged in a week.Of course when we commented on it we were told these are not Goans doing this,It is migrants?:thumbdown::unsure::unsure: |

Thanks for your very frank and honest opinion, has Goa got so bad?.We don't see the dangers only visiting for a few weeks at time and not months like you.

Hi Goacrazy, we have seen at first hand, violence and intimidation, we so keep our head down now. I for one think the whole Goa thing has got very sinister and you have to keep a low profile to get along with everyone. We have some very good friends here but no one we would trust 100%. Never thought three years ago, I would be saying these things!
What as happened to the Goa we loved:(:(:(:( |

as a smoker i go out near the doors on trains for a ciggie and have seen quite a few near misses with people standing looking out and not holding on to anything. the tracks are bad in places and the train lurches unexpectantly. |

Re: In To-day's Newspapers
seems from the reports so far that she travelled to the station alone.
the police can check the station records and the ticket inspectors records to check if she got on the train and where she was seated. i think it's very likely she was on her own, did get on the train and went for a smoke when the train pulled out as you are not allowed to smoke on the platform. |
Re: In To-day's Newspapers
from yesterday/today's papers - the railway have said (on the basis of a LOT of experience) that people who fall from trains never fail under the same train (common sense really).
The post-mortem says body cut up by a train , but surely any competant forensic pathologist can tell whether the person was alive at the time? AndyD |
Re: In To-day's Newspapers
but surely if she had been placed on the track before the train ran over her then the driver would have spotted her?
if she had been pushed as the train as it was going passed then some of the passengers would have seen it happen. |
Re: In To-day's Newspapers
We can speculate all we like. The wording in the press was "the dismembered body" and the definition of the word is-
1 : to cut off or disjoin the limbs, members, or parts of. 2 : to break up or tear into pieces. Being run over by a train does not do this. It was also stated that it is impossible to be run over by the train you have fallen from. |
Re: In To-day's Newspapers
but they can check if she boarded the train...computer ticketing.
if she did board then she must have fallen or been pushed off. |
