At times like this, there will be people who will now come forward as rightful owners of property (if any), and as creditors. Goa is strewn with with the same story. |

These figures (600 million/55%) presumably ignore those with a proper toilet who still insist on using their own garden as a toilet - because they always have done! We've all seen our neighbours do this in Goa I'm sure. Maybe the Indian Government slogan should be changed from "India Shining" to "India Sh*teing"? |

Your spot on johnny five, our neighbours have built a lovely house but still all of them Sh.t in the river still as do many people around sun village/lazy lagoon, taking the dog for a walk by the river in the morning is a no go area!!!!prehaps they need lessons in using the toilet
to take temperatures, instead of sticking the instrument into their ears they stuck it into their forheads. |
Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Thought you were about to say they were trying to stick them up a much more delicate place! Phew, that's a relief.
So, they've got the ear cleaners checking for swine flu? That's inventive. Do they charge 100 roops per boulder mysteriously lodged there without discomfort. Give them the time and they can drag a semi detached villa out of your lugs. Indoor toilets are not for using, they are only for knowing you are rich enough to have one , and letting all your neighbours and poorer relatives know you have one. Status, innit. |

So at least we now know why he is attending a third rate event in a fourth rate destination..............he's looking for money! Sir Kingsley has come to the right place then, as from personal experience, a lot of film funding comes from distinctly dodgy sources. |

above news item refers to New Delhi and why much of the construction is illegal. Sounds very familiar and relevant to the situation in Goa. |

[email protected] Good suggestion - go for it. Any press coverage opportunities should be taken to highlight the issues we all face. Dread - putting it out there x |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8376423.stm H. In multi cultural, politically correct UK this disclaimer is now a mandatory preface lest one cause offence in all matters regarding immigration policy, cultural demographics or 'ethnic diversity'. Hence, there is no debate, only pitifully grovelling electioneering by power hungry politicians pandering to 'minorities'. I am greatly offended by the Government of India, the High Commission of India, UK and the State Government of Goa. Is it not time causing offence became an equal opportunities issue? Can we not reach a fair trade agreement in matters of taking the piss? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...s-born-UK.html Yes, Andy.......it's a red top rag. Doesn't dispute the statistics though. |

02/12/2009 Russian tourist accuses Goa politician of rape attempt
http://news.in.msn.com/national/arti...mentid=3465306 The police have booked Fernandes, 34, under sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code. Fernandes had narrowly lost against Tourism Minister Francisco alias Mickky Pacheco in the state assembly elections. Crimes against women in Goa have come under the spotlight, especially after the brutal rape and murder of British teenager Scarlett Keeling in Anjuna last year. Looks like rape season has started (allegedly), a bit late this year. Don't think they'll allow this on Hyperbolic Troofs; too 'political', 'happens everywhere, dunnit'?? |
