Don't have gas, only electric heating and an electric immersion for the water which gives up every couple years because the water down south is so bloody hard. Was hoping to get away with changing it before we sold but luck not on my side. Still only cost £39.99 for replacement and i did it myself.
Did i tell you about the problems i've had with the car?

Re: Living in Ontario ! Don't bother ... wish I hadn't
Has anyone made the point that Ontario is actually as big as Europe? All bad???
If so, sorry, I came on this thread 30 pages too late, and I can't be bothered to read the rants of people that think that Canada is some kind of Shangri-La, and then get here and discover that it isn't.
My pet peeves are
1) People who don't consider that they will miss their family and friends
2) People who seem to think they are "entitled" to something because they're British
3) People who complain about Canada being a multi-cultural society. Get thee to Calgary...
4) People who think they can live on a Canadian salary, and things in Canada still cost half as much as the UK
5) Anyone who thinks that they don't have to work at building a new life here
Disgruntled of Downtown Toronto

Gets confusing when people in Canada refer to English as what they language they speak... in Quebec it was much easier, just called myself an hosti d'anglophone
Most Canadians prefer using 'British' over 'English' as its less confusing to them then trying to remember if its the language or the country they are refering to

Moderators: Isn't this why you started The Maple Leaf forum? What's the point of these runaway threads?
